Praise for Ed's previous novel, Lost in Translation:

"Edward Willett has arrived, and SF is the richer for it." -  Robert J. Sawyer, Hugo Award-winning author of Hominids

"A believable, absorbing, thought-provoking and highly enjoyable read." - Kathy Tyers, Author of the Firebird trilogy, Star Wars: The Truce at Bakura, and Star Wars: Balance Point

"An interstellar adventure story worthy of Golden Age masters like Isaac Asimov and Robert A. Heinlein. " - Dave Duncan, author of the Seventh Sword series, the King's Blades series and Children of Chaos

Publishers' Catalogues Home Page

A terrific collection of links to publishers all over the world. Well done!

Canadian Science Writers Association

This is the professional organization for Canadian Science Writers, of which I am one. (Even though I'm really American, but there's no need to go into that.) Good research links, among other things.

Saskatchewan Writers Guild

We here in Saskatchewan are extremely fortunate to have one of the best writers' organizations anywhere. Find out what makes the SWG so special here.

Screenwriters & Playwrights Home Page

A page designed to meet the needs of screenwriters and playwrights. Some general writing resources as well.

The Dramatic Exchange

A directory on the Caltech ftp site dedicated to archiving and distributing scripts. Playwrights can "publish" them here and producers can find them here. At least, that's the theory.

Inkspot

Information specifically for childrens' writers on the Web, plus general writers' information. Great site!

The Children's Literature Web Guide

And yet another great site focusing on children's literature, this one listing a plethora of Internet resources related to the topic.

Screenwriters On-Line

The home page of the Professional Screenwriters' Network.

SF Canada

The home page of SF Canada, the association of professional science fiction writers in Canada, to which I belong. Membership list, information about the Aurora Awards, and more.

Transversions

An excellent new small-press Canadian SF magazine containing top-notch fiction by authors such as Robert J. Sawyer (see below), Charles de Lint and Sean Stewart. Oh, yeah, and they published one of my stories (Lost in Translation) in their very first issue, too.

On Spec

On Spec is Canada's best-known SF magazine, and this is an excellent site featuring excerpts from the current and back issues, cover art, submission guidelines and more. Oh, yeah, and they published a story of mine recently, too!

Locus: The Newspaper of the Science Fiction Field

The name says it all. If want to know what's what in science fiction (I'm speaking here of the real, written stuff, not the media type) you've got to read Locus.

The Robert J. Sawyer Web Site

Robert J. Sawyer is Canada's only native-born full-time science fiction writer, winner of umpteen major SF writing awards, seen regularly on CBC Newsworld, and a really nice guy.

C. J. Cherryh's Place

C. J. Cherryh is one of my favorite authors and, I think, one of the best working in science fiction and fantasy today.  She creates wonderfully rich worlds, and she's created a wonderfully rich website.  Pay it a visit!

The Owl Springs Partnership: Peter Morwood & Diane Duane

Peter Morwood and Diane Duane are both writers who work individually and together. I'm posting this link because Diane Duane is the author of my favorite young-adult fantasies, the Young Wizards series.

Bonastra - The Madeleine L'Engle WWW Resource

Madeleine L'Engle has been one of my favorite authors since I read A Wrinkle in Time at the age of about 10. If you haven't made her acquaintance, this is a good place to start.

Into the Wardrobe: The C.S. Lewis Web Site

The Chronicles of Narnia. The Screwtape Letters. Out of the Silent Planet. Perelandra. That Hideous Strength. If these titles mean nothing to you, then you have a treat in store: you have yet to discover the work of C.S. Lewis. Start here.

The SF Site: The Best in Science Fiction and Fantasy

Here's something of a rarity on the Internet: a site that focuses on written science fiction as opposed to Star Trek, Star Wars, Babylon 5, etc. Check it out.

SFWA

The Science Fiction/Fantasy Writers of America is the organization of professional SF and fantasy writers in the U.S.  Their home page provides information about the organization and, naturally, has lots of SF-related links.

BookWeb

BookWeb is a creation of the American Booksellers Association, and is full of news about books and the business of selling them.

Bookwire

Another terrific place to find out what's happening in the world of books. Includes a link to Publisher's Weekly Interactive, a site worth visiting all on its own.

Booktalk

This is the "publishing insiders' page where you'll find out who's hot and what's up." There's information about publishers, bookstores, agents and authors.
